Poznaj Manuela Barrantesa (64)- górnika z Kostaryki, który
zbudował imponujący dom pod ziemią. Zajęło mu to 12 lat, a jedynych narzędzi
jakich używał to łopata i kilof. Dom ten ma prawie 200 metrów kwadratowych, z
dostępem do wody i elektryczności. Jest całkowicie umeblowany. Część ‘mebli’
wykuta została w ścianach.
Liczne tunele i korytarze schodzą aż do 19 metrów pod
powierzchnię ziemi.
Dom pana Manuela ma uchronić go i jego rodzinę przed skutkami
zmian klimatycznych i zanieczyszczenia środowiska. Mówi, że czuje się w nim
bardzo dobrze i nadal go rozbudowuje.

Meet
Manuel Barantes (64) – a miner from Costa Rica who has built an impressive underground
house. It took him 12 years and the only tools he used were a spade and a pick.
This house is almost 200 square meters, with access to water and electrics. It
is fully furnished. Part of the ‘furniture’ is carved in the walls.
Numerous
tunnels and corridors go down to as deep as 19 meters below the surface.
Mr
Manuel’s house is meant to protect him and his family from the harmful effect of
the climate change and pollution. He says he feels very comfortable there and
is expanding it further.
